#NZBGET CREATED FILE PERMISSIONS HOW TO#
I came from Windows and am relatively new in Linux, I do not understand how to give NZBGet the permissions needed to access /mnt/Downloads. nf(46): Invalid value for option "NzbDir" (/mnt/Downloads/NZBGet/nzb): could not create directory /mnt/Downloads: Permission denied

This does not work I get a couple of errors for the NzbDir, the QueueDir and the TempDit. As the MainDir in NZBGet I put /mnt/Downloads. I then installed Docker, and NZBGet in Docker. The /mnt/Downloads folder has all the subfolders I need for NZBGet: 'nzb', 'complete' 'incomplete' etc.

This works fine, as fare as I can see (I'm no expert), I can access everything in that mount and can read write and create files. If nzbget is started automatically it might be running as a user or group 'nzbget' and they do not have write permission by default. I mounted one of those shares to /mnt/Downloads I then installed samba and mounted a couple of Samba shares (on a NAS) via fstab. 1 reports downloaded.I've installed Ubuntu server 20.04 as a VM on a Proxmox server. The issue is intermittent (does not happen with all files), but consistent (I can reproduce it with the same file over and over). I have installed, messed with, uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times now. However, I think I have a permission issue still lurking as I cannot see the unpacked files on the file system. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Ĭonfirmed that changing the MainDir back to $/downloads allows for the downloading of files however UMASK set to 000 does not appear to solve the issue with files being moved over.ĭownloadedEpisodesImportServiceImport failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /home/nobody/downloads/downloadscompleted/TV Shows/.H264-PETRIFIED1:06pmĮpisodeSearchServiceEpisode search completed. I have been using SABnzbd, but somehow broke it when upgrading so am trying NZBget as an alternative. None of which have resolved the issue, after which i wiped the configuration and re-imaged the flashdrive and started from scratch however the issue persists. I have tried both the Docker Safe New Permissions under settings as well as SSH into the server and applying permissions to the directory with: Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /usr/local/bin/nzbget/downloads/completed/TV Shows/5.1.H.264-NTb

It appears that he file is able to be seen however i get the following error.

Im having issues with what i think to be permissions between 2 docker apps (NZBget, Sonarr). Download the Kodi v18 QPKG file HERE and make a note of which folder it is.
